Kettering Park Hotel Wedding
Joe and Georgette’s New Year’s Eve, Eve Kettering Park hotel wedding was always going to be lots of fun, I knew this as soon as I met them for their engagement shoot at East Carlton Park in Leicestershire. They came along with their son Alfie who was not happy to let them kiss…we had to get creative to get some kissing action going on! Alfie became my chief photographer and we got some fab sneaky shots! We didn’t have to worry on the day though as Alfie was having far too much fun ripping his trousers, playing and dancing to even notice what Mummy and daddy were up to!

The day started with some of the funniest Bridesmaid confessions I have ever heard…and believe me during the bridal prep I hear it all, but this was a whole new level of funny! Georgette was totally chilled, the Prosecco flowed and everyone had a ball. Whilst the Bridal party were getting ready I got a chance to nip and take some photos of the Groom and Alfie arriving.
That’s the good thing about a wedding all in the one place, unless I have a second shooter with me I don’t tend to be able to get any groom prep pictures, but as the ceremony and reception were all at Kettering Park Hotel I could dot between them both. Joe looked a little more stressed than Georgette (his room didn’t have Prosecco to be fair) Alfie was completely buzzing with excitement and kept asking me if his Mummy looked beautiful..How cute is that?!

Georgette’s proud dad walked her down the aisle, to a slightly nervous looking Joe. That might have had something to do with the wait though, its a woman’s prerogative to be late but actually the wait was down to the registrars not allowing the service to start as they spotted a guest in the ceremony with an alcoholic drink. That is illegal did you know? I certainly didn’t! Anyway it was removed and normal service was resumed!
Agent Alfie did a great job protecting the rings, Georgette cried, Joe held it together (just) and its safe to say it was a lovely ceremony. The whole day was lovely and a real family affair, Joe’s son as best man and Georgette’s sister, daughter and best friend as bridesmaids.
The Wilkinson’s holiday in Mexico so there was lots of cool touches and lots of homemade alcohol as wedding favours. The tables were different types of gin which looked fab…these people like to party! The first dance was really lovely too…but sorry Joe, the father daughter dance did it for me! Georgette and her dad bust out the moves to a mix up of songs…it was the best I have ever seen!

Thanks for a fab day and thanks to Alfie for assisting me with the group photos on the day, I will have a job waiting for you when you are older!
